The US issued sanctions on the Revolutionary Guard in Iran yesterday.
Today, Iran responded by stating that these sanctions were "doomed
to fail".
What is the cause of all these sanctions?
the BBC states that a very powerful politicians in our government is
pushing for war with Iran before President Bush's term is over. However,
Condoleezza Rice STATED THAT THE US doesn't want to antagonize an
already unstable situation. She uses the fact that Iran is much closer
to Moscow than the US.
Also, are many countries turning against the US in its "war on
Terror"? If they're not, then why are Russia and China criticizing the
US sanctions?
