There is some concern that a government run 'insurance health care'
system will create euthanasia...?

Its all about integrity....! No matter the system.

If we can pay a doctor to kill healthy unborn children, when some
other person or couple will adopt the same, then it is easy to see
that a similar doctor will easily kill or terminate or euthanize an
elderly patient, since the cost savings to the insurance company and
or the government would be substantial.

We already have selective female abortions in North America based on
sex (we don't hear about it, but that does not mean it does not
happen...)

Each system has its merits and disadvantages, but a system that has
insurance without appropriate controls will motivate 'them' to
terminate certain lives rather than treat them.

Having said, that let us look to Italy, a true socialized health care
system where doctors are paid a flat annual fee PER PATIENT....here
there is some incentive to keep you alive and healthy...the American
health care system creates an inverse relationship between your health
and the income of most all doctors.

Oh and by the way don't look to Canada for the best system, even
though it is universal, doctors have retained their private business
component, and they are motivated to create volume of visits,
referrals and testings...

Look to Italy...
